Welcome to the only "fanlisting" listed at The Fanlistings Network for "respect". I was lucky enough to adopt this fanlisting from the beautiful Wendy in September 2009.
"Respect" is the idea of holding a subject (e.g. human, animal, environment) in high esteem, and recognising others' rights and needs. It is the seed for an eternally healthy relationship - be it with friends, family, Earth; or the more abstract passions in life - such as music, art: you cannot relate to anything without initial respect for it. Respect is amazing, because it humbles you almost like a child, in awe of the world again. Unsurprisingly, disrespect for the self leads to disrespect of others (e.g. abuse, theft), communities (e.g. vandalism), and eventually the whole Earth. You can see this in manmade environmental damage - greed and disrespect towards all our beautiful natural resources has lead to massive, long-term detriment of our home. So let's all learn to listen to each other, learn from each other, and love each other - including yourself.
If you are a fan of "respect", then the "fanlisting" concept is that you can go ahead and join the fanlisting for free (this website is a voluntary fan effort), and become part of a growing, worldwide list of fans who also advocate this imperative concept! That's all there is to it.
